help... newborn twins at home any suggestions to make life easier?

Answers:
i have 15 month old twin boys. i will admit that those first 3 months are a blur and i thougth i was going to DIE of exgaustion!
take it easy on yourself. don't try to be superwomen and think you can do it all. take time for yourself. i know everybody on god's green earth says this but nap when they nap. try try try to forget about the laundry and dishes and crumbs. it is hard i know... but you will thank yourself later. if your husband or boyfriend is in the picture.... have them help with night feedings. we would switch off. my boys were up EVERY 3 HOURS for the first 3 montsh. I would do the 9pm and 12am. My husband would take the 3pm and 6pm and that would get me sleep on the weekends!!!! we would feed them at the same time EVERYTIME! so if one were to wake up i would feed him, then put him down and if need be wake the other to feed them. sometimes they would not want to eat b/c they were sleeping but it is necessary to keep them on a schedule. not for them at this point... but for you!!!!
if you haven't purchased two swings and bouncy seats go ahead and splurge. check out garage sales and such for deals. we only had one of each at first and it would have been DREAMY to have the two so they didn't have to share.
ROUTINE WILL BE KEY TO YOUR SURVIVAL! Of course newborns are not predictable; but if you start with baby steps (no pun intended) to a routine, life will be grand in a few months. babies like to know what is going to happen next. they like the predictability of a routine. it is comforting to them. i started by doing baths before bed everynight. we didn't get on a real nap schedule for at least 6-7 months so don't stress.
USE ANYTHING THAT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER. Dishwashers, dryers etc. don't be afraid of technology.

If you are bottle feeding have a PLETHERA of bottles. don't go on the notion that you will clean them everytime they get dirty.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP! Grandparent's, friends from church, neighbors, or a teenager in the afternoon. anyone that offers...TAKE THEM UP ON THEIR OFFER. Believe me... help disappears so take advantage now. my husband works on the road 4 days a week so it was just us for 4 days at a time. my parents would take the babies ALL day on Wednesdays and it was DREAMY!!! and on thurs. nights friends of ours would come over at 6pm, bring dinner and let me go to sleep and put the boys down around 10pm so that i could sleep for a 5 or 6 hr. period.

It will get easier... I PROMISE! They are actually really fun now and I can't imagine there being just one of them. They entertain each other (though that didn't happen until about 11months) and don't demand ALL my attention ALL the time.

Please if you have any specific TWINS question... email me and I will try and help you out!
GOOD LUCK AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE DOUBLE BLESSING YOU HAVE RECIEVED!!!!!
Try and stick to a schedule as much as you possibly can. Having twins makes it much harder, but you will save your sanity with a schedule.
