10 months daughter,keep rubbing her right side eye. I've checked there is no broken hair or anything else.

Do you know why she rubs and when she cries she try to close it ..she is doing since four five days. she is only 10 and half months old....

see a doctor about it. if it is pink eye like i have right now then it is highly contagus

Ther eis an eye infection going around that they are calling pink eye, but I think it's a little different. It could be allergies, too.

It could be conjunctiveitis of the eye, this is a bacteria of the eye that is developed when the child rubs their nose and then touches their eyes. my two year old gets it sbout every three months and the doctor prescribes some eye drops. It usually clears up the infection in about two days of applying the medication.
