Help in California for child support?

Not sure if I am posting this in the right section but I figure someone has got to have some experience in being pregnant and the entire child support/custody/and rights. Ok. I have my court hearing next month and the mother of my child is filing for full child support/sole custody/ and offering me visiting. Dude! I don't want visitation because I ain't ready to be a dad. I wanted her to have an abortion or consider adoption, but no she had to be selfish and keep the child. We only dated briefly. I don't have a stable job and trying to make it as an actor. Dude! In 3 months I get paid $2,000 - that's barely anything! I didn't put down my entertainment jobs because I want to protect myself so they dont get my monies from those jobs. If I bring evidence and solid evidence she is harassing me and get a friend to be a witness will the judge go for it and let me off the hook. Sort of like giving her a restrainting order so we don't have any contact. Do I have a case?

Answers:
dude!!!! no way!!! you have no case!! they don't care how little you make, there is a state minimum that you have to provide her with or they will a) revoke your drivers license and or b) put you in jail for non compliance of a court order. and even if you don't list your "acting" jobs, if you used your social security card to apply for the jobs (which you most likely did if the agency you work for is even fairly credible) they will see how much you make through your tax records. so what you need to do is be a man, get over your fantasy about being an actor, and take care of that kid, regardless if you hate the mother or not.
Nope sorry buddy. But if u don't pay they can do stuff like garnish your taxes by using you SSN, and suspend your license, jail you, etc. If they have your SSN which they can get eventually they'll just garnish your taxes. Child support also gets reported to the credit bureaus so it's the same as having a credit card, if u don't pay your credit score goes down. And that's all here in California, I work for the courts and just filed myself...You can have a restraining order against her but u still have to pay $$$.
