I have a 5 month old and introducing baby food for the first time.?

I have been feeding it to her twice a day for the past 4 days and she just won't take it, She wants her bottle all the time! Anyone have any hints??

Answers:
My son didn't want to eat either when he was about 4.5 months old, so I backed off. I tried again the day he turned 6 months and it worked. It just takes patience and remember every child is different.

Does she push it out with her tongue?? If so, she may not be ready.

What are you feeding her? Rice cereal mixed with formula or breast milk so it's sorta of runny is a great start. So are bananas.

It is not recommended putting cereal in the bottle. She could choke, and if she isn't ready you may just upset her little tummy.

Have you tried putting cereal in her bottle first?

my son as like that. what we did was gave him cereal in the milk. about a week and he was used to getting thickened food and hungered a lot more, so he ate the baby food.
Oh yea, my baby did the same when she was that age. It took up to 4 or 5 months before she would accept food. To this day she is picky about eating. Don't worry, she will do it when she is ready!
from what I could tell watching my brothers kids and the way he would deal with it , you have to be consistant with it make a game for your kid like "here comes the airplane" "or the chocho train is coming" something to make them want to try it , maybe try showing them how good it taste(Even if it really is nasty all you need to do is get them in the habit of eating regular food, beyond that I have no Idea ...I hope this helps.
Keep trying to give her the food or you can get a cereal bottle you mix cereal and the formula together not too thick and see if she will take that.
