1st birthday?

Hi all!!
okay so my beautiful daughter will be turning a year on the 26'th (w00t w00t!!) we want to throw her a small deputation in mid august (too much going on this month!!) & I was wondering what other parents hold done for their childs first bday
we figure about 20 adults & 10 children range from 6months -15yrs old
we thought maybe a short time ago doing a bbq , quick easy foods, setting up a volleyball network, a mini swimming pool, a trampoline & a bouncer - I was hoping this would enteratin all different age groups if anyone have some other ideas or think one of mine is lame permit me know =)
also-pleased dont say "shes only a year dont bother" b/c im really excited its be an exciting year for us as first time parents so we want to celebrate too!

Answers:    you could have a carnival- set up a child pool for kids, ponies, games, volleyball, a bounce-house, and carnival snacks(candy, hotdog, hamburger, coke, other.

have a pool party- set up a baby pool, and a big pool, enjoy an ice- cream stand, and a trampoline of some sort, also get a Dj or band to play!!
hi ..you can a short time ago rent her a trampoline with her favorite character on it and buy her a pinata or if you are not agree near the pinata then buy litlle bags so you can put candys on it and for her cake you can stir to the bakery and let them create it like you want or buy some cup cake those are fun for litlleones.on the food try to make something you can't spend that much something kinds and adults can get through just depends on youre tradition.well hope my design can help you a litllebit.and please give abiggg hugg to your daughter on her time..hugs-&-kisses-lol ABY.. Happy early Birthday to your daughter !! Your ideas nouns similar to what I did for my daughter but I didn't have as many associates there. We live in LA,cali so we drove to San Diego to my little sisters apt and my relatives surrounded by AZ met us there. Afterwards we went to the park, bbq, and I bought a play tent w/tunnel (birthday present). We of late ate and had fun, very simple. We threw a jamboree for her second birthday.
Good luck and have fun with planning.
That sounds resembling a good idea , definatly a swimming pool its going to be hot, my daughters b-day is the 12th and I have her first birthday outside, man I'll tell you very hot. Sounds resembling fun. Good luck.

Mother of a 3 year old and 4 1/2 months prego with second!
Well I dont enjoy a child but I saw a pics of me in my first b-day if
you cant do it in august do it another month.k only make the theme for babies for example Barney.. [I detestation Barney] That sounds like a great day...!! Happy birthday to your little girl, i.e. my BFF's birthday too (only she will be 29...)

Have fun!! Dont forget the chocolate cake for her to destroy!!
Be sure to use frosting on the cake that will contrast with her skin tone. If she's dusk (black) use white or pink. If she a white, use chocolate! It's so fun to let the baby dive into the cake and lift pictures. If the frosting is too close a match to her skin tone, it won't show up in the pictures. I only just live the pics I have of my fair skinned toddler boy covered in chocolate frosting!

We gave him his own little cupcake, and he have a blast eating it and making the hugest mess!

Don't make the f¨ēte too complicated. You want to be able to focus on your baby . Don't plan games you enjoy to oversee. If someone else is willing, let them do it, but you'll wallow in it more if you're free to chat and see about the baby!
How going on for having a few games for the different kids age groups. Here's a few easy games that we do for first birthdays (mind you I hold 5 kids :).

Musical Chairs (if it's an even split, have a group of 5 of smaller children and another separate group of 5 older children so the winter sport is fair - give 2 small prizes)

Classic pin the tail on the donkey.

Pinata (it's nice to win a pic of your 1 year old doing this too)

Put a few coins (penny's nickels dimes or quarters) in a dozen or 2 of blown up ballons and tie them. Have the kids play a hobby of sitting on the balloon and popping them. The coins are their prizes and everyone gets something. Let an older child or full-size help the younger ones.

We usually throw a big bash for our kids so we add a few extra entertainment. I would lone suggest if it is in your budget. But we know how special it is for everyone in the relations to celebrate. Not just for the 1 year hoary but everyone surrounding her and helping through the rough 1st year. We usually hire our magician friend who does a really nice show for the kids. If that is too costly, you could look into hiring a obverse painter or ballon maker. This keeps the kids entertain without having to be involved as a host to the kids. At this time you can keep amused and chit-chat with the adults.

For theme I don't usually hold a particual theme. Just the entertainment, bbq, and things that say 1st bday are satisfactory. Epsecially the cake. Make sure to get good pics of your 1 yr old-fashioned having at it with the cake. We usually a moment ago get a big cake for the guests and have the kid blow out candles on that one. Then during the party we sit her on her high stool and have her dive in on her one individual small size cake. Everyone will soak up watching her!

I love 1st birthdays! It's so much fun to prepare so I feel ya. Good luck and happy birthday to the little one! Most of adjectives have fun with it!
