My baby's first birthday is coming up. Can I give her a small piece of chocolate cake?
Answers:
yes. my grandaughter just turned 1 in APR. she got her very first taste of something other than baby food. She loved it. She had he own little cake from the bakery. it was also chocolate. Actually, she loved the icing more than the cake. my daughter had also check with their pediatrician and they assured her it was just fine.
Other Answers:
yes,
on our sons first B-day my wife made him is own little 6in cake.
He put is fingers all in the cake and ate a little bit of it.
It was a lot of fun
Yes, small amounts of chocolate are fine. I would avoid nuts if at all possible. At one year old they don't really know what they're eating. Start off right. Don't give them a sweet tooth too early. My answer: No
yes
Heck ya! Strip her to her diaper and set a huge piece or cake in front of her and let her rip!Good Luck!
a small piece is ok Give her cake!!!!
Absolutely! My niece tore up her cake at her first b-day party!
Yes, it's her birthday and even though she won't remember, let her have a good time anyway.yes Yes, let her dig in! I think it is so cute when parents let their child feed themselves their first b-day cake. She will cover her self with it!
YES!!!! Their first birthdays are the best. Better yet, make her a small cake of her own. Nothing to big, something she can pick up on her own, just to play with and make a mess!!!! You'll get some really good pics to look back on.
Of course! Thats the best part of the birthday party is watching a one year old eat cake with their hands!! When my son turned one I bought a cake (for everyone at the party) and then I made a cupcake and put it in front of him and let him dig in!! That way he can have fun with him own little "cake" and you dont have to worry about feeding finger squished cake to all your guests!! Have fun!! =)Yes! Yes! Yes! Make your child their own special cake & watch them dig in with their face & hands! Take plenty of pics of this special moment! Of course you can!
are you kidding, you should give it a whole cake...thats a very special birthday...and let them have fun..smashing it all in their faces...lol..so cute!!
Why not, both of my children had their own cakes. That the joy of them turning 1, watching them get full of cake and icing. Let them get messy, enjoy it and take lots of pictures.Of course. What better way to celebrate her first year on Earth? Just remember that sweet treats like that should only be given on special occasions. Happy Birthday little one! And congratulations to you, too! give her her own cake!! its not gonna hurt her
consult your pediatrician. watch for allergic reaction if this is the 1st time with it.
It's quite safe and she'll enjoy it. But Ya-Sai's point is also correct - make sure that sweet things are only ever given as treats, or they stop being treats.all 5 of my nieces and nephews tore into a huge piece of cake on their first b-day. It's a tradition and makes cute pics. Don't worry the worst that will happen is a huge mes YES!
I entirely appreciate that you're wanting to keep her healthy and give her food that's good for her.
But don't we all need to let loose and celebrate every now and again? If you can't have a piece of cake on your birthday, there's something wrong with this world!
Don't make it something that happens every day...Go back to making sure she's eating right on a regular basis. She (we all) can be perfectly healthy, but still enjoy an occasional treat.
Please do! She will get more on her than in her but it's her birthday! Honestly, by 1 she could be eating everything you eat, with a few less spices, salt etc...so enjoy! Absolutely!!!! I made cupcakes for my son's first birthday and he could pick it up and smash it in his face. I would put something over that first birthday outfit, you won't believe where they can get that stuff. My boy has crumbs and chocolate in his hair and everywhere but it was so much fun to watch, I didn't care about the mess.
The good part is now that she will be 1 she can have many many things she has never had before, like peanut putter(if no allergies), honey, etc...... Have fun you are headed in to a whole new experience.
Yes you can lol me and m brother both were givin our own (small) cake on our first birthdays... be cafeful though when we saw the pictures later it looked like the cake had exploded in our faces or sumethin lol
