My mom has a serious health condition. Started with severe headache, 'spinning' head, then could not walk. M

months later her speech deteriorated and then her left eye developed problems. She's now bedridden. Cant walk or talk properly. Numerous visits to doctors do not seem to help much. Just what could be the problem? Please help!

Answers:
The list of causes are long, however since the symptoms you described were progressive and did not suddenly appear all at once, stroke is a remote possiblity. What she may be suffering from can be brain cancer, TIA (transient ischemic attacks), or some other rare genetic disorders such as huntingtons disease. Best thing to do is to see a good neurologist with your MRI films and report in hand (you did get a MRI right?) so he can make a diagnosis.

It sounds as if she has had a stroke. Lack of treatment in the first instance could have led to her eye and speech problems. If she had a stroke she could have had a severe headache and spinning head. If it was left untreated, the bleed could have caused more problems. I am suprised this hasn't been taken seriously.
Things happen in life that no one can answer just be there for your mom
I do not want to make you fell bad by telling you a wrong answer since I´m not a doctor, but my mother had the same symptoms: it was caused by two brain tumors...my mother had cancer...
She needs to be seen by a neurologist. There are a number of conditions which can cause these symptoms. If a local neurologist can't come up with the answer she needs to get to a medical center like the Mayo Clinic - ASAP.
You need to fire your doctor, if not sue him! It sounds like she has some serious problems, she could have had a stroke, blood clot, tumor, the possibilities are endless. The fact that it has progressed to this point without a diagnosis and treatment is deplorable. I would find a neurologist and get her in asap or have a house visit from one if you can't get her to the doctor. If you can't find anyone to come to the house, have her transported to a hospital. That's where she should have been to start with, in a hospital to be evaluated by a cat scan to see what was going on in her head.
