Do white blood cells regenerate?

If white blood cells do not regenerate, what is the point of donating blood?

Answers:
Your bone marrow makes red blood cells and white blood cells all day long. Your blood is never the same every day. The cells die off all the time all day and night. Donating blood is to give other people blood products like red blood cells, plasma and other things so that if they lose blood during surgery it can be replaced or if people are anemic and need it because their bone marrow is not producing enough for their bodies needs. Hope this helps

OMG bone marrow transplants are NOT for white blood cells. There are injectable medicines that they give people who do not have enough white blood cells that forces their own marrow to make more of the white blood cells.

Other Answers:
the red blood cells - people who are loosing a lot of blood, eg from a wound, need the red blood cells to carry oxygen around the body. also the platelets and blood coagulation factors are required.
no they do not but they do last a while in the body. and you donate blood for the red blood cells for people who have lost too much blood. for white cells they do bone marrow transplants which allows for the making of the white blood cells.
the point of donating blood and plasma(partial white blood cells) are to help those who have either suddenly lost a lot of blood or to help those who have white blood cell generation problems like leukemia.
White blood cells do regenerate in relatively healthy persons... It can store for a while also hence why it is beneficial for accident or burn victims...
