what are the causes of temporary one-eye blindness?

my husband has experienced this recently. He has heart problems and is diabetic.

I agree with the poster who said you need to get this checked out with a doctor.

One other possibility that others haven't considered yet is a condition known as amaurosis fugax. Amaurosis is a temporary loss of vision in one eye, usually not associated with pain, and usually described as a curtain coming down to cover the field of view.

It goes away, but it's a harbinger of worse things. Amaurosis is essentially a mini-stroke, and given that your husband is diabetic and has some heart disease, it's not unlikely he's also at risk for stroke.

So, get him checked out.

try going to a Doctor instead of asking this on here! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I think his diabetes is the one causing the blindness. Is he on medication for diabetes. Are you regularly checking his blood sugar. Diabetes is a very serious condition. It does not only cause temporary blindness, it actually causes permanent blindness. So please consult your doctor. And be more strict about his diet. Don't take this lightly.
Get him to the doctor/emergency room ASAP!! This could be as serious as an aneurysm or blood clot in his brain.
