How do you stop some one you love stop drinking "if their addicted and in denile that they have a problem"?

Answers:
Having to have gone through this, here are my suggestions:

a) Do NOT buy them alcohol...they'll probably ask their friends to do so but you can also ask them to refrain from doing so.
b) Do NOT get into arguements w/ them over their drinking; no one ever wins these.
c) Do make sure they eat balanced meals. Many alcoholics are actually malnourished.
d) Bring home pamphlets from your local Hospital (1 or 2 phone calls will put you in Contact w/ good help) or Motor Vehicle place (DWI's are VERY expensive!) and leave them in various spots.
e) Join a local Al-Anon Group. They are quite supportive & can help you cope w/ the situation.
