How do I learn to do hairstyles without taking a full cosmetology program?

There are many beauty websites I will list a few for you. You can learn skills at home.I would say a video or dvd would be better than reading a book.It's up to you.

Go online and look up sites that teach you hairstyles. Are you wanting to just know styling or are you talking about actually cutting hair? or is it coloring you are asking? I am a cosmetologist and I don't recommend anyone trying to learn this profession accept at the appropriate schools.
There is a whole science and many things to know about hair other than just want looks good.
Be an apprentice.

My mom's a professional hairdresser I just watch her and learn. So find somebody that knows to teach you. There's lots of people out there
Practice on friends and or family. Buy a big mirror you can use to look at the reflection of what you doing. Grab magazines and just go nuts.
