Is it possible to get a keloid after getting your tongue pierced?

I was planning on getting one soon and i don't want something retarded like that to happen.

Answers:
yes keloids are possibles, i have seen 4 people in the last 4 months in the shop that came with this problem to me, the people that pierced them did seem like being qualified, from good shops, but it is not the piercers fault if you ever have a keloid, its mainly caused by hardening tissue and certain hormones. i doubt that you will have this problem, all the people i have pierced never had this problem, and i have been dealing with a lot of pierced people from other shop and even online, and heard about this very rarely.

Other Answers:
Just make sure you get a qualified person to pierce it for you. I've had my tongue pierced for over 5 years, there has never been a problem with it (apart from the swelling in the initial week). I've had far more problems with pierced ears (infection, discomfort) than with my tongue.
I suffer from keloids and when I spoke with my dermatologist and he advised me from getting any piercings and tattoo's. He told me that it is possible to get a keloid in your tongue so be careful.
