Can Tylenol cause liver problems for teenagers?

Answers:
Yes, but if taken as directed it shouldn't be a problem. Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in tylenol. It's also is what the majority of vicodin is, although the active ingredient in vicodin is hydrocodone, there's a hundred times as much acetominophen in each pill as hydrocodone. The vicodin most prescribed is 500mg of acetaminophen and 5mg of hydrocodone. People who overuse vicodin often have health problems more related to acetopminophen than the opiate, because it's bad for the liver and stomach. But I'm talking people that pop 2000-5000 mg a day, regular strength tylenol is 325mg and is taken for a short period of time.
