For an ex-smoker of at least 13 yrs (of smoking), how long does it take for the smell of the breath to go away
Someone please help!!
Answers:
it only takes a few days, his cough should clear in about 2 weeks and if you are unsure ask to see his tongue! He certainly shouldnt smell now. it takes 3 months to stop smoking. there are receptors in the brain that if not triggered ie you dont smoke, they become dormant, or go to sleep. also if for a true smoker if they can stop smoking then they are a truely strong willed person.
Other Answers:
48 hours is what it should take, so he must still be smoking. Otherwise he's using chewing dip.
sometimes it might never go away, the odour is stained in your throat and on parts of your tounge. you could always use breathmints or, those listerine pocket packs, but it would never take away the bad breath
