1. What are the possible ways of curing sickle cell anaemia? 2. How can it be prevented?

Answers:
Hi,
Unfortunately there is no cure for sickle cell anemia. It is genetic and cannot be prevented except perhaps by genetic testing of the parents before they have a child.

I put links to some information about the disease.

Take care...

Other Answers:
It is an inherited defect. It cannot be prevented, nor cured at the present time. It is caused by a single amino acid being replaced by a different one in the haemoglobin molecule. There is a possibilty for a cure to be developed through genetic engineerin in the future.
