I have a friend who's husband is HIV +, and she's pregnant what are the chances she gets it too?
Answers:
If she have no medication, its chanse is 35% to 50%. But if she take antiretroviral, or other medication to HIV, the risk go down. She have the possiblity to dont have it
Other Answers:
1 in 50. If his treatments have his viral load down to all but 0, chances are slim. 1 in 50 is for US on the whole. IF she takes HIV meds within 24 hours after sex, chances go way down.
If she is pregnant by her husband via the normal method of conception, there is a chance that she is infected, a very high chance. She should be tested and have drugs administered to her to reduce infection to the fetus, and of course if she is diagnosed they will perform a Cesarean.
if she has slept with her husband. she has it .?
very high
