Try going to a health store and ask the clerk where to find ear-cones. They are wax cones that are lit and the vacuum pretty much draws the ear-wax out. (I've used them several times and they work very well). Please follow ALL of the directions on use.

There is a kit that you can buy for ear wax. But since you are saying excessive, your doctors office can have a nurse spray warm water into your ear and it removes build up. It is relatively painless and you will be amazed at how well you will be able to hear!
Make candles
Make extra candles in case of blackout.

By earwax removal drops from amy store and rinse with warm water when you are in the shower. Always clean your ears after you get out of the shower while the wax is hot and lose!
I've heard tilting your head to the side and pouring peroxide in your ear.After it stops bubbling do it again.Repeat till it stops bubbling.
A soldering iron's hot tip stuck in your ear will melt the wax. Then attach a Q-tip to a Dremel and stick it in your ear to clean out the wax. Attach another, clean Q-tip and buff the ear canal to make it easier to remove any future ear wax.
