Answers: Another option is for your friends parents to become your legal guardians. This give them the ability to seek medical aide & sort decision regarding your schooling, etc., short permanently severing your connection near your parents. Check the information below:

At the age of 16, you may be able to become an emancipated minor. Check the link below for information more or less emancipation of a minor in your state.

Before taking such a drastic & enduring step, I hope you & your family can find some help/counseling. Even if you decide to stay next to your friends family for a while, or longer. Just to help you adjectives heal from whatever is providing the motivation to desire an alternate living arrangement.
Hope things work out for you.
Take care, my friend
You would have to dance through an attorney. The family adopting you would enjoy to have a home study and background check done by a licensed social worker. Consent for adoption forms would be file with the courthouse, you would go up to that time the judge, then another constituent of the home study done, and after a waiting period of about 6 months, depending on where on earth you live, another court hearing. Or, your friend's parents can easily procure guardianship by them and your parents going to the courthouse together. It isn't a permanent things, and might have to be renewed occaisionally, however, it make it where they can enroll you in college, insurance, and your first parent's rights aren't totally gone forever.
I do suggest getting a third party in your home situation, such as a counselor, who might direct your communications and wishes better, and maybe heal the disfunctions within your life. Good luck! The friend's family would own to hire an attorney who could then do the process legally.
