Do you mull over tube is replacing family unit time?

Yesterday, my mom, dad, and I was sitting around the dining room table, eating. Then my mom rushed out of the room to view TV, without finishing her plate. Then I tried to start a conversation with my dad but he wouldn't listen! He told me to be still and he was listening to the TV. Then my mom rushed vertebrae inside and my dad threw away the rest of his food and went into the living room to watch TV. Then my mom did like peas in a pod thing...

Do you think box is replacing family time?

Answers:    WOW! Absolutely, yes! You are so mature to realize this when your parents don't appear to have a clue--unless this was a one time numbers. And the majority of TV is not even worth watching. The families portrayed in the sitcoms are not what I want my loved ones to emulate so we don't watch much. Be selective with TV and when you do examine as a family, try discussing what you've seen during commercial time. Enjoy a spectator sport night during weather that won't let you outside & when it's nice weather step outside. If nothing else, enjoy a cup of ice tea, watch the grass grow & the butterflies and birds move about by or go for a walk. Let your parents know almost your concern. If they don't listen now to just detached conversation, how can they expect you discuss those important issues with them that are simply for parents and children to discuss. Ask your parents for some quality time because it should be an important subdivision of every day. Good luck!
For my family, it's VIDEOGAMES that are replacing relations time! I'll try to talk to my brother, ask him something, or try to get him to do something next to me, and he's like "sorry Torie, I'm too busy playing videogames."
Also, I get sooooooooooooooooooooooo barmy when my boyfriend doesn't talk to me because he's playing videogames. It drives me up the wall and i have the desire to break adjectives ps3's.
=)
Duh. Most families have more than one small screen in their house so families don't even study together anymore. And supposedly the ratings are supposed to help, like PG manner parental guidance, but when did you ever watch a PG movie and have your parent communicate to you about the content? Mine never did. That's why I don't let my daughter (almost 2) see television. yes. we dont even eat at the table, we chomp through in our rooms, or the living room, so we can watch tv. sometimes i put away at the table but its like 3 feet away from the tv so i might as in good health eat in the living room because i can see the tv from the table. oh ably, thats how things are
No, not really. Watching T.V. can be a group activity, unlike the computer, Ipod, etc. I love watching T.V. with my relations, it's sooo funny!!

You could always use the T.V. for family time. Try finding a T.V. show your total family likes and put it on after dinner.
I other thought being around the TV was relations time. :)
I suppose it varies from family to house though, but I suppose it could be, depending on how your family interacts with one another. Yes indeed. Family values and morals are going down the toilet contained by today's society.
not for me but maybe for u
